My Favorite Hair Treatment
In 2020, I had some extra time to care for and treat my hair. Needless to say, during this time I came up with some new techniques that worked wonders on my hair. Do you suffer from dry and unmanageable hair or are you in search of a treatment that will make your curls pop? If so, I may have the perfect treatment for you! I recently started combining Aztec Indian Healing Clay, Aloe Vera juice, apple cider vinegar, and rose water.
Here’s how I do it:
Get a plastic cup and spoon (this can be a messy process)
Obtain 1/2 cup of Aztec Indian Healing Clay
Pour 1 cup of Aloe Vera juice into the clay
Pour 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar into the clay
Mix all the ingredients together (you can change the thickness of the mix by adding more or less Clay)
Divide hair into 4-6 ponytails
Apply a modest amount of the mix to each section and finger comb the clay through the dry sections of hair
Obtain Rose Water (spray bottle) and spray on each section of hair, dampening the section
Braid each section, then place a plastic bag and scarf over your hair for at least 2 hours (I have let this treatment sit overnight)
Wash out the treatment with cold water and proceed to wash and condition hair with your everyday products

What are the benefits of this treatment?
Aztec Indian Healing Clay- Bentonite clay has been shown to remove toxins and heavy metals (detox) from hair. This clay also soothes dry scalps and dry or heat damaged hair and helps restore curl patterns.
Aloe Vera Juice- Aloe vera juice helps heal dry and damaged hair by strengthening hair shafts, soothing itchy scalps, and promoting hair growth.
Apple Cider Vinegar- The pH is ACV is high, therefore it is a great clarifier and helps remove built-up dirt and dead skin cells. ACV also has antimicrobial properties.
Rose Water- Rose water can help reduce scalp itchiness and dandruff that may arise from conditions like eczema or psoriasis. Rosewater helps maintain hair that is prone to frizz or dryness.
